What Are Safety Recalls and Vehicle Campaigns?
When you receive notification that your vehicle needs recall service, it will fall under either the category of a safety recall or vehicle campaign.
A safety recall is when there is a factory defect that may affect your vehicle, and that defect affects the safety of your drive. In cases like these, it is important to have the recall service performed as soon as possible. At Bluebonnet Jeep, we will perform recall service for Jeep models and other FCA vehicles free of charge. This is true even if the vehicle is out of warranty.
A vehicle campaign is similar, but the issue is not related to safety. Instead, it may be related to emissions or customer satisfaction. Just like with a safety recall, we will perform the repairs free of charge.
If you have already paid to have repairs done, and these repairs are part of a recall, you may be eligible to be reimbursed.
How Can I Tell if My Vehicle Has a Recall or a Service Campaign?
