Responsibilities at Bluebonnet Jeep, New Braunfels, TX

As a service technician at Bluebonnet Jeep, your primary responsibility will be to perform service and repairs on vehicles that our customers bring in. This starts with a dispatcher giving you a repair order, at which point you will bring the vehicle to the stall area to begin work. As part of your service work, you may need to diagnose the cause of a problem the customer lists. Whether the service involves diagnostics or performing a simple maintenance task, it is your responsibility to document your work and perform quality checks. You must also always meet both Bluebonnet Jeep's standards and the manufacturer's standards for safety, quality, and cleanliness, in addition to all federal, state, and local laws.

Communication is vital in this job. You will need to contact the service advisors, letting them know promptly if there are any changes to the service you have been assigned. This includes letting the service advisor know that you will need more time than initially thought, that you will need to perform additional service, or that the requested service is unnecessary. You will also need to communicate with the parts department to acquire the parts you need for service.

In addition to your daily maintenance routine, you will be expected to attend training classes and keep up to speed with factory technical bulletins and standards.
