AWD Alignment at Bluebonnet Jeep

At Bluebonnet Jeep we offer all-wheel alignment or four-wheel alignment services for your Jeep. These durable vehicles need AWD alignments and this system is used for better traction when they drive on the roads. They are often used to ride on rough terrain, off the road work, or sometimes racing. Each wheel's angle with our service is measured and adjusted to be aligned according to manufacturer specifications. Our technicians are trained in this specialized alignment service to keep your Jeep running smoothly. We service the areas of New Braunfels, Seguin, McQueeny, Schertz, and Garden Ridge.

AWD Alignment on Jeeps in New Braunfels

When the wheels on the vehicle do not point in the right direction or are not aligned this leads to problems steering, suspension troubles, safety, and the wear on tires. When your Jeep hits potholes, curbs, or bumps into concrete parking stalls, parts crack and wear. This causes your wheels to be thrown out of alignment.

Three different wheel angles determine your Jeep's alignment:

  • The camber is the angle that determines how much of the surface of the tire is parallel to the ground. If the top of the wheel is pointed too far inwards towards the car, or out away from the car, the camber angle needs adjustment.
  • The caster angle is extremely important for steering. If your steering wheel pulls to one side or the other when you let go when going straight, the caster angle needs adjustment. A correct caster angle will allow you to let go of the steering wheel and continue going straight.
  • The wheels' toe angles determine how inward or outward the wheels are pointing in relation to the direction of the vehicle itself. If this angle on each wheel is off, it can cause a great reduction in overall handling.

The alignment on the Jeep should be checked every 10,000 miles or less. This can be done when you have an oil change or other repair. The benefits are the vehicle drives smoothly, less tire wear, and savings on fuel.

Certified Technicians With Every Service

Our technicians use a computerized alignment tool that has each Jeep's alignment specifications loaded into it. We can only tell if the alignment is off by using this tool. We cannot tell by just looking at the vehicle. Misalignment causes the vehicle to pull to the right, tire wear, and vibrating steering wheel. After we find the right measurements for each wheel our technicians put the vehicle on the lift and perform the necessary adjustments.
